Collegiate Wind Competition

For the FIRST TIME EVER, Purdue has been selected to compete in the Collegiate Wind Competition! This Department of Energy-sponsored competition incorporates design, manufacturing, and energy policy. Join our multidisciplinary team to compete against other universities in three areas: wind turbine prototype design, wind farm project development, and connection creation. ECE students can be involved in electronic circuits, microcontroller programming, control systems, and electrical machines for the turbine prototype. Or work on wind farm planning and layout including transmission plan, energy analysis, economics, and more.
