How can we tackle the world’s most pressing problems?
Effective Altruism Purdue helps students answer this question and figure out how to do the most good with our lives and careers by introducing the ideas of Effective Altruism: the science of combining evidence and compassion to find the best opportunities for improving the world.
Effective Altruism Purdue holds regular discussions to explore these questions and enhance our ability to put our ideas into action. Our first meeting, where we’ll introduce effective altruism, is on Wednesday 9/6. We’re also planning an Intro Seminar later this semester, with weekly readings and small group discussions for students who want to engage more deeply.
