Quantum Student Organization (QSO) strives to reach out to all Purdue students, regardless of their major or their previous experience with quantum, to make the word “quantum” much more approachable, tangible, and intuitive. We believe a club like this is necessary for a place like Purdue, especially as “quantum” is one of the four pillars here. One of the goals of our organization, more specifically, is to reach out to the Purdue community, informing them of the importance of the quantum industry, and most importantly the fact that experts forecast a boom in the quantum industry in the next 5-10 years which will ripple out, affecting many other industries. We believe the time is now to inform college students, as they will most likely be at the “front lines” of their respective careers when the quantum industry’s ripple affects other industries.
